I am absolutely thrilled to send out my first membership communication as the incoming President of the MRC.
I feel starstruck sharing membership in an organization with so many research icons – to be at the helm this year is a true honor. Thank you for this amazing opportunity. My deepest gratitude to my predecessor, Josh Chasin, the entire Executive Committee, all our volunteers, and of course, Rosemarie Sharpe.

Programming for 2021-2022
To say that the last 18 months were challenging would be a massive understatement. This has also been a time of opportunity and great change. The Market Research Council transitioned to virtual events, opening opportunities for people to engage with the organization and our membership regardless of geographic location. Now, we are all beginning to reemerge from our homes, move back into offices, restaurants, and participate in small in-person events. The MRC will need to remain nimble throughout this transition, but we are all eagerly looking forward to seeing you all in person. We will be issuing a survey to gauge the comfort level of our members in returning to in-person events. A portion of our programming in 2021-2022 will remain virtual to ensure that we can continue to include members from across the country and even the world.
Over the past year, our membership has grown, but we would like to amplify that trajectory with rolling membership drives throughout the coming months. We will also be focusing on diversity, equality, and inclusion as we grow our membership, and also, as we plan our programming.
*NEW* – MRC Question of the Month
To enhance the value for our existing membership and attract new talent to our ranks, the executive team has plans to help generate content opportunities and networking opportunities throughout the year. The first initiative I would like to kick off is an “MRC Question of the Month”. I hope you will all participate by submitting your thoughts on the monthly topics. The plan is to publish your thoughts as the expert opinions of the Market Research Council.

Finally, since we have been virtual for so long, I have not had the opportunity to get to know our members in the way that I would have liked.
